Austin Domain Properties employs students through a work/study program in LISD for the Special Education Department. Creating a meaningful purpose for those with disabilities is very important to our firm. And the kids are awesome!!!

Amber Gunn, the broker of Austin Domain Properties, gives back to the community through a grassroots charity called The Kindle Project, where she pays it forward to single moms. Enabling and empowering single mothers is where her passion lies. Pictured above is a mother out of Quinlan, TX who found her blog. ADP is working diligently to get a lender to donate a mobile home to her in exchange for a "positive" PR campaign paid for by ADP for the lender who is actually giving back to the community instead of always taking via foreclosure.

In honor of The Kindle Project, Austin Domain Properties purchased a Kindle for avid and passionate reader, Kristin Walker, as she experiences great difficulty in even holding a book. That was how the charity got it's name, from the back of a Kindle box...
kindle - v. to ignite; to excite; to stir up

"Hi my name is Kristin Walters. I am turning 16 years old this summer. When I was 18 moths old I was diagnosed with a disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. SMA is a neuromuscular disorder that keeps me very weak. I have never been able to walk or crawl. Do to this I cannot do a lot of things I wish to do. My disease affects me physically but I refuse to let it control my life. I still have all the wants and needs of other teenagers but I have more trouble finding the way to do them. I love traveling but my family and I don't have the funds to go places. I have dreamt of going to places like New York or even Europe. I am very ambitious and I love adventure, but I can't do what I wish. I also love swimming and we have a pool but I don't have a lift to get in and out, This causes lots of strain in the people who take care of me. I am really trying to keep me disease from getting to me. I cannot and will not give up what I want in life because of my physical limitations."
